What is an Intensive Driving Course?

If you want to pass your test in a shorter time span then intensive courses are for you. You can be up to test level in a matter of weeks As little as one week if you’ve had prior driving experience or are looking to retake the test. It does require you to be driving for several hours a day on some days so make sure you can commit to that.

Pupils learn much faster if they build on their skills immediately rather than leaving time gaps between opportunities to learn. Additionally the structure of an intensive driving course is geared towards faster and more in-depth learning. At Sue’s Driving School there is the option of taking an intensive driving course if you need to learn quickly. This is especially good if you are short of time or have job commitments. Sue also provides support with your theory test so you can get on the road as quickly as possible.

How Long Do Intensive Driving Courses Take?

This depends upon you as an individual and the amount of prior knowledge you already have. If you are a fast learner with prior experience it could be as little as a week. If you’ve never driven before and prefer to learn at a more sedate pace then it is likely to take you longer and Sue recommends a longer course. It could also only need a week if you have taken a test before and only want a refresher before your next test. This is far less time than it would take if you were having weekly lessons.

Sue will talk to you, meet with you and assess your current ability before letting you book any of her courses. It needs to be the best thing for you.

You will retain your knowledge much better if the course is condensed because you will not have had time to forget before the knowledge becomes embedded. There’s no need to get back up to speed before you start making additional progress. You will see your proficiency improve in leaps and bounds and that will build and maintain your confidence.
