Sue says, “I have always enjoyed driving and I passed my own driving test in September 1985, a month after my 17th birthday. I’m passionate about road safety, and have never had road traffic accidents or points on my licence.

I have many years driving experience, having driven multiple cars and vans, as well as having driven in several different countries abroad. The safest way to drive is defensively, rather than competitively, and there are many defensive driving techniques I cover during lessons.

I like to think that these many years of driving, as well as my driving instructor training, give me an excellent platform, to pass on these skills to new learner drivers.

Previously I worked in customer services for 14 years in a High Street Bank. I then ran my own business for 15 years.  It was a natural progression to do what I love when I became a driving instructor.

After passing all 3 stages of becoming a qualified driving instructor on my first attempt, I then worked for a larger driving school for several years, before becoming an independent instructor.

I always have a good rapport with my pupils and aim to provide a friendly, relaxed, calm and safe environment in which to learn.”
