Aggie Tackles Difficult Situations in her PassPlus

22March 2023

I really enjoyed completing 6 hours of pass plus with Aggie Boardman. Aggie opted to split it into 3 two hour sessions. We spent a lot of time driving on local motorways, getting on and off; with plenty of practice building up speed on slip roads with varying levels of difficulty.

We drove to Cheshire Oaks, and parked in a busy car park. We also drove in a town centre one-way system.

One of the sessions was torrential rain, when we were driving at night in many different unlit rural roads, when you had to make good use of the full beam headlights. I think we did every rural road on the Wirral that night! (The car certainly needed a good clean after that lesson!)

On our final session, you chose to drive to Liverpool John Lennon airport. This gave you some good tunnel practice. We used both Mersey tunnels, and paid the toll with cash, then by card. I think most people who do PassPlus say that one of the most difficult things to do is reach out the window at the tunnel to pay. You either have to have very long arms, or be good at throwing money into a small scoop!

I thoroughly enjoyed all of our time in the car together, and I’m pleased to hear that you have now mastered driving up your horrendously steep driveway. When your mum told me it was steep, I didn’t realise it was THAT steep!

It was lovely to hear from you again today, and thank-you for recommending me to your friend.

It was good to hear you did get some car insurance discount for completing the course. Give me a wave if you see me!
