This is one very happy Lydia Swift, who has just passed her driving test on a cold and frosty morning, with low sunshine and blinding glare from the road. Well done Lydia (tricky driving conditions today)!

Thanks for letting me sit in on your test. It felt very Christmassy, as we had plenty of Christmas songs playing on the radio throughout the drive.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of our time together on lessons, particularly the drive to Deeside ice skating centre, which was your special request. Hopefully you’ll soon be able to drive yourself there.

Did you notice the song that was playing as you found out your result was ‘I’m dreaming of a white Christmas’?

I’m sure you’ll have an even better Christmas now that you’re a full licence holder.
