Brilliant drive by Sam Pownall, who passed his test 15th September 2021 on his FIRST ATTEMPT with only 3 small driving faults! Congratulations Sam that is a fantastic result.
It was very difficult for both of us to pretend that you hadn’t passed, when your mum and dad were waiting for you to arrive home! I’m no good at lying, so it was a good job I still had my face mask on!
But how lovely to see their reaction, when you whipped out your pass certificate!
You already have plans for the rest of the day to drive to see both of your Nans, and tell them your good news, as soon as you’ve spoken with your insurance company to let them know that you’re now a full licence holder, not provisional!
You have been an absolute pleasure to teach, and a very quick learner from lesson one. I’ll never forget that lesson when we were stopped at the traffic lights and you burst out laughing and said look at that dog. I just wish we could have taken a photo of the funniest, coolest dog I’ve ever seen. A Boxer, in the front passenger seat, with its leg resting on the open window, posing just like a human! It was only missing a pair of sunglasses!
All the private practice with your mum and dad in your own car has been a tremendous help too! I know how much you are looking forward to driving to school tomorrow. No more buses now!
I wish you good luck with your A levels and beyond, and hope you have many years of happy and safe driving!
